How does winter sound like to me?

When I was working on my latest album 'WINTER TALES' that was the biggest questions of the composing proccess. I think 'Cold Snowfall' has the best answer out of all the songs from the album. Combining a reverby piano with the ambient pads is the biggest recurring element in the music symbolizing wide and open snowcovered spaces and landscapes.

For the sound of falling snow I found a solution in adding bells to the mix, rounding up that feeling of isolation and loneliness in a world that is so much bigger than we are and makes us feel small.

'Cold Snowfall' in particular is about the frostiness of winter, while we're waiting for the ice to thaw and summer to return. But while we are watching the falling snow and our breath in cold air, we can't help but think that winter still is so, so beautiful.
